She is Randy's Aunt
Venita was born in Amarillo Texas on Sept 12, 1940 She was the middle child of
Earl Velter "Sleepy" and Willie Allene Peters, raised with Brother Bobby Earl
and sister Linda Kay also known as Squeek in an 800 sq ft house.
Venita had several passions in her life.
Her precious beautiful daughter named Gina
Her wonderful sweet grandson PJ
Her relationship with her sister Linda Kay
Her "BOYS" that would be the Dallas Cowboys
Her love for her Mom
Her love of good down home cooking
But more than anything her love for Jesus Christ was first in her life. Her special prayer time with God. Her incredible walk of faith. Her ability to share with people the awesome power of Jesus Christ
Venita was one of those rare individuals that for some reason that we never seem to understand why, suffered most of her life with a very rare type of Leukemia. I never heard her complain. She always told me that God was in control and that He was a God of Love and Mercy. She always enjoyed sharing Christ with others.
She went home to be with Jesus in January of 2005.
In 1998 my wife, Lisa and I purchased a restaurant in Rocklin, California. God impressed upon me to honor Venita by naming the restaurant after her. I loved and love Venita Rhea. She was a special person to me, our relationship was very special. Venita loved and prayed for me when I was pretty rotten. Never judged
Did Venita walk on water? No, but she served a God that did and she patterned her life after him and like Jesus Christ, she left many impressions on a lot of people.
